Ah, so the long Easter weekend is now over and it's back to work/education for us all! I spent the last day of holiday styling a menswear photoshoot…. just a test out and about in Shoreditch with quite a cool, urban feel. I also went to the Hoxton Bar & Kitchen near Old Street station for a late lunch, we had cocktails and mexican food, yum!

Check out these beautiful silver brogues by Red or Dead! I'm never really sure how to wear metallics but I rather like the simplicity of these paired with an otherwise quite boring and ordinary outfit. Here I also wore a sparkly jumper to compliment my new shoes and spread sparkles throughout the entire look! How do you like to wear your metallics?

I was kindly send this delightfully sparkly dress from Lashes of London a while ago, but I've only just gotten around to photographing it. To be honest, I found it a little tricky to style. My usual look is a lot less dressy so I really struggled to pull an outfit together whilst still looking like "me". Last weekend however I had a sudden brain wave and found myself really wanting to wear it…. double sparkles! Here I've worn it with my "signature" collar poking out from underneath and a pair of glittery shoes!

Today I had a meeting in central London so whilst there I had a cheeky browse in H&M and
Forever 21 where I found SO many things that I wanted to buy! Window shopping is dangerous... I then popped East to return some samples and Matt and I took a nice walk from Bethnal Green to Haggerston and then onto Dalston before I got lazy and jumped on a bus home! I love days like today spent walking around London, it truly is a unique and magical place.
I wore my new culottes, which are from an exciting start up brand called
Lola May. Based in Manchester, Lola May was founded by three twenty something friends who wanted to create wearable, edgy and on-trend pieces at an affordable price; you can follow them on instagram

What I love about culottes is how comfortable they are...they're also super boyish yet elegant at the same time, so they're pretty versatile and can be dressed up or down depending on the look you're after. Today I wore them with a cosy roll neck and DMs, whereas last weekend I wore them out to a club with a white sleeveless blouse, which dressed them up a little!

A renowned story teller, Orla didn't disappoint this season when she showed her SS15 collection through the tale of a Spring garden in bloom. On entering the show space we were faced with a rather underwhelming scene; an assortment of plant pots lined up in front of a small, white picket fence. One by one as the models filed out, they placed large wooden flowers into each pot, so that eventually a full flower garden was set before us. Simultaneously, Californian born artist Alia Penner painted flowers onto a clear background so that the "garden" really was in full bloom by the end of the presentation.
As expected, the clothing was cute, colourful and graphic with a nod to the Sixties. Bold floral prints paired with minimal, muted handbags showed flower power in a new, modern light, whilst clean cut silhouettes stayed true to Orla Kiely's more classic, feminine aesthetic. Favourite looks included a loose floral blouse worn with a smart, a-line skirt in blue check and a more tomboyish pair of pastel blue culottes paired with a simple t-shirt and slouchy jacket.
