A few months ago, (wow talk about a late post), I was invited by the lovely Julia of Stylonylon to a vintage party at Mero Retro in Clapton. Also accompanied by Leigh of Fox & Feather, Jaclyn of Bumpkin Betty and Paula of The P-Ho Diaries, we were all treated to a delightful spring afternoon of personalised cupcakes, Prosecco and vintage shopping. I picked up an adorable collared blouse, (shown below), i'll be sure to get an outfit post featuring this up soon!
Treat yourself to 15% off of Mero Retro's online store now by putting the discount code "Fashion your Seatbelts" in at the checkout!
JUMPER DAY
It's an odd time of year here in the UK - with Summer just around the corner but Spring still seemingly in full swing, the weather is truly unpredictable. Some days the sun is shining and it's far too warm for a coat, but other mornings I still head to work wrapped up in a hat and scarf! I find that one way to get through this awkward time is with a good selection of jumpers, which are easy to throw over an outfit then whip on and off accordingly!
Over the years I've built up quite the collection, but I'm always on the lookout for more. Recently I've noticed an influx of online stores focusing on knitwear - Repeat Cashmere for example sell all things cashmere and have loads of snuggly jumpers to choose from! I tend to get a lot of knitwear from work with my staff allowance and I do love a good rummage in a vintage store at weekends! I found this blue number for £14 about four years ago…. bargain.

TARTAN DRESS BY MOD DOLLY

NEW TARTAN SHORTS!
Last week after work I went to Brick Lane for a press appointment and whilst in the area I couldn't help but pop into Rokit for a cheeky browse! Matt managed to find these beautiful tartan shorts, (or culottes rather), and I instantly fell in love with them… now don't ever want to take them off!
I wore this outfit on Saturday evening when I went out for my housemates birthday. I don't go out very much anymore; I don't have the money to waste and to be quite frank I HATE hangovers, so when I do decide to get my dancing shoes on I like to make the effort and whack on some lippy to! Dressing up is so much fun! I love the way this yellow tee brings out the yellow stitching in the shorts!

OUTFIT | ARMY GREEN
I was recently sent this lovely green dress by the super cool online store, Koshka. I don't normally do "midis", but I actually quite like this length now I've tried it.... I can imagine it would look really nice in winter worn with a snuggly jumper and boots too! This isn't a colour I'd usually choose either, but I thought it may suit my hair and it also just so happens to be my Mum's favourite colour, maybe I'll lend it to her if I'm feeling generous ;)
Speaking of my wonderful Mother, I'm heading down to Devon tomorrow to visit her and the rest of my family, woohoo! It's my birthday this month so we're going to celebrate early, oh and I'm going to get my hair cut and dyed too... wish me luck!

OUTFIT | DUNGAREE FUN!
The last pair of dungarees I owned were a hideous lime green. I was seven-years-old, give or take, and my Mum had picked them up for me at a car boot sale... although I don't think I could pull of that sickly green colour anymore, I do rather like this classic denim style, which were found whilst rummaging in Beyond Retro's Cheshire Street store. Have you ever been? It's like a treasure cave, be sure to visit if ever in London! Any way, I think the key to a good pair of dungarees is size... the bigger the better! Oversized 'rees are cute, fun and flattering, just like big high waisted shorts - yup I've most certainly, (finally), joined the dungaree bandwagon.
