Wardrobe Essentials: Court Shoes

Happy Valentines everyone, what ever your doing and whomever your doing it with, I wish you all a lovely day :-)

Recently I looked through my wardrobe and noticed that I was missing quite a few wardrobe essentials.  To me a wardrobe essential is an item you wish you had and always tell yourself you really need to invest in one of those.  The main items I'm missing are.. perfectly fitted black trousers, a white and black blazer, some plain t-shirts, there's a few more but lets stop there for now.

So today I bought three wardrobe essentials that I have been wanting for quite some time.  Nude, leopard and black court shoes.  Nude and black  shoes go with everything, every girl should have a pair.  I also think a pair of leopard courts are essential, they can jazz up a plain outfit while still looking elegant, plus leopard is every girls fave right?

Philip Armstrong Blue Court Heels - £25 Sale Matalan

Philip Armstrong Nude Court Heels - £25 Matalan

When shopping for court shoes its all about quality, I have seen many cheap looking court shoes, I would love a pair of louboutin pigalle but right now I'm not willing to spend the money.  I recently spotted a good quality pair of court shoes designed by Philip Armstrong on sale from £40 to £25, I snapped them up straight away with no hesitation!

What are some of your wardrobe essentials?

Contrast Floral Top

Skirt - Missuided
Top - Zara
Heels - Matalan
Ankle Bracelets - Ebay
Clutch - Gift

I'ts always the case that before a holiday work is always manic, I guess when your trying to wind down on the work you have you realise just how much work you have! Then your colleagues magically have 100 questions to ask you before you leave!  Its only Wednesday but I feel like I have worked a whole week.  Good news is I'm off to Miami tomorrow whoo hooo!!!

These pictures were taken on Monday after a late night at work, the sun was just going down so the quality is not the best.    I love this contrast floral top I recently bought from Zara for only £10.  I found these ankle bracelets that I bought last year while packing but have never worn them, they were still in the packaging, shame on me.  I like the way they jazzed up this outfit.

I doubt I will blog in Miami, but I will be updating my Instagram.  Thanks for stopping by and see you in August :-)

Orange & Pink

Skirt - H&M
Top - H&M
Heels - Matalan

I was having way to much twirling in this skirt!  This is what I wore to work today.  Pink and orange make an amazing colour combination, you don't really need to add much else to make a statement.

I love the way this skirt moves, its heavy material ensures you don't experience any embarrassing wind moments but it shimmers with you as you walk, love it.

Zara Skirt

Top - Newlook
Heels - Matalan
Skirt - Zara
Bracelet - Newlook

I wore this outfit to church today, Its' been another sunny day in London.  I bought this skirt in the Zara winter sale last year, I instantly knew I wanted to pair it with a yellow peplum top, so when I saw this top in Newlook it was the perfect match.  Of course both pieces are very versatile for other outfits.

I hope your all having a lovely day, I'm just chilling and awaiting the world cup final, I want Germany to win!

Fancy Pointy Flats

Zara - £39

Boohoo - £18

Asos -£22

Asos - £65

 Matalan - £12

I love heels but I don't live in them.  I have a busy job and life, sometimes heels can just get in the way when your on the go.  It can be hard when you still want to be stylish and look dressy in flats, but these pointy flats tick both boxes.

Flat shoes are becoming very prominent in shops now and judging by recent fashion shows pairing dressy outfits with trainers and flats is the way forward, although you wont see me in a dress and trainer combo anytime soon!

But I will be investing in some pointy flats, so I can be stylish and comfortable for those super busy days. Which is your fave?

Peplum Dress

Dress - £15 Boohoo
Heels - £20 Matalan
Clutch - £12 Ebay

If you follow me on Instagram you would of noticed I was uploading a lot more than often.  My little sister graduated! We had such an amazing weekend. The first stop in the morning was the graduation ceremony, this is the outfit I wore, I wanted to keep it classy and simple.

I vowed not to straighten my hair for one year as I'm trying to get my curls back, I was 4 months in, I had a bit of a bad hair day, so I ended up straightening it! arghh.   Not all is loss I guess, I'm starting again and to be honest I use to straighten my hair every day which is terrible, so 4 months is a small victory.

After the ceremony we changed in to our 'Gradmaids' outfits (similar to a bridesmaid).  We bought material and designed different outfits.  We threw my sister an amazing Grad party, it was such a great night with so much love and laughter.

Leopard Clash

Heels - £20 Matalan Sale
Jeans - New look
Clutch - New Look
Jacket - Primark
Jumper - H&M

No one tells you just how much of your time will be taken over once wedding planning commences.  Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying it, I love event planning in general and I'm a creative person, so I'm loving the process, but when life is already busy, adding even more things to do is leaving me no time to even relax let alone blog! so sorry for the super slow post.

I wore this outfit on Sunday to church and dinner with the girls.  It was one of those days were I couldn't be bothered to dress up so I pulled out my jeans.  I jazzed up the outfit by classing prints with the heels and clutch.
