Twinkle Twinkle Little.... Boots!

Screw waiting for Christmas; I managed to get my hands on these beautiful gold Vagabond boots, which I so recently mentioned in my Xmas Wishlist! Patience has never been one of my strengths. I love the square shape at the toe and they're ridiculously comfortable. Possibly the most comfortable shoes to ever go on my feet actually.... They're like slippers.... Super stylish slippers! Isn't there also something so satisfying about wearing metallics and sparkles around Christmas time!?

I also got this great new jumper from The Fifth, which I'm wearing here with a Miss Selfridge skirt and metallic dot tights from Topshop. You may already know I have a love-hate relationship with shopping, and its normally around this time of year when the high-street fills up with black, navy and sparkles that I'm in the "love" state of mind. But life isn't all about Christmas and sparkles, (unfortunately), and I've got to think practically too, which is why in the new year I plan on buying a pair of "sensible" desert boots. I've had my eye on this Clarks pair for a while, I think they'll be great for work and I love the wedge style flatform sole.

I'm off to Copenhagen on Friday morning, woohoo! I plan to do all the Christmas shopping, (it's honestly the most amazing place I've ever shopped), and I'd really like to find a traditional Danish restaurant to eat at too. I'll be posting lots on instagram if you wanted to check that out, otherwise I'll make sure I get lots of beautiful shots to show you when I'm back on Sunday.... then I'm off to Devon!

STYLE ICON | VICTORIA WINTERS

Last week I finally got around to watching Tim Burton's Dark Shadows. Admittedly when the film first came out back in 2012 I didn't think it looked very good, which is why it's taken me so long to actually sit down and watch it. I was pleasantly surprised therefore when I enjoyed an hour and thirteen minutes of mild horror, romance, comedy and beautiful visuals.

What I found most inspiring about this film however was the character Victoria Winters, played by the lovely Bella Heathcote, whose wardrobe throughout is cute and quaint with just the right amount of Gothic. Brought to life by costume designer Colleen Atwood, Victoria sports oversized collars, cardigans and pretty blouses, whilst her polished hair and doll-like features help to create a real Sixties vibe - basically I wish I was her.

Get "Victoria's" look with The Whitepepper's Embroidery Detail Blouse, a navy cord pinafore from Mod Dolly, some white tights, (you can currently buy these from ASOS quite cheaply but American Apparel also sell them), and some pretty, mid-heel shoes - I personally quite like this velvet pair from Topshop. I know who I'll be dressing as for Halloween next year... talk about planning ahead!

OUTFIT | NEW DRESS FROM THE WHITEPEPPER!

As a thank you for helping out with a feature in their latest magazine, The Whitepepper kindly sent me a few bits from their new winter range; (definitely thought Christmas had come early)! One of the items I asked for was this amazing long, black shirt dress. It's super comfortable and flattering because it literally just falls off of my shoulders to my shins, showing off no lumps or bumps on the way down. Here I've worn it with black cotton tights, my Dr Martens and my new, long grey coat, which is also from The Whitepepper.

THE WHITEPEPPER: JERSEY COLLECTION

Let's all just take a moment to appreciate The Whitepepper's new Jersey Collection. If you haven't guessed already, I'm a huge fan of The Whitepepper and am massively excited each season to see what delights they have to offer! They recently brought out a Jersey Collection, that's right, an entire range dedicated to the soft, comfortable and fun fabric that is jersey! Here are some of my favourite pieces including the Dungarees because, well, they're super cute, and also the Metallic Jersey Smock Dress in Silver because it'll be so useful for those days when I just can't be bothered but still need to look like I've made an effort!
