WINTER WISHLIST | COATS

Ah winter, we meet again.... this week there's been a sudden drop in temperature in the UK and it's finally starting to feel a little festive. Of course I love summer too, but there are plenty of reasons why I enjoy winter just as much! Firstly, Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of the year; markets, mulled wine, pretty lights, board games, friends, family, presents, (and let's not forget to mention the John Lewis ads).... what's not to like!? There's also that delightfully refreshing smell/taste/feel of a cold winter's morning, and SNOW! The excitement of snow is embedded into our brains at a young age in England, and I don't think that ever goes away.... grown men still lie in bed at night in the midst of winter wishing for a 'snow day'!

But most importantly, with crisp winter mornings comes knitwear, oversized jackets and ankle boots. Autumn/winter fashion is my favourite and I'm determined to treat myself to a new coat this year; I love the tie waist design of the three Cos styles above, and I'd really like a below the knee length. I've been doing a bit of research into other high street brands to see what's available as my budget is on the small side, but it's so hard to beat Cos's style, craftsmanship and elegance.

MAXI LENGTH BOILED WOOL COAT FROM ASOS, £95.00

ASOS do actually have an amazing range of coats; I love the simplicity and colour of this boiled wool style above, (though The Whitepepper do have a very similar design for £15.00 less FYI). I also really like this Duster Coat by ASOS shown below, which is only £60.00 - I'm not sure how warm it would be but you could easily layer it up with a cardigan underneath and a big scarf and still achieve that gorgeous long, slouchy silhouette. I'd love to wear it with a pair of white Adidas Stan Smiths or alternatively my DM shoes would work just fine.

DUSTER COAT FROM ASOS, £60

Surprisingly Topshop didn't have much to offer apart from this amazing Blanket Coat by Topshop Unique, which is a beautiful colour but sadly out of my price range. I did come across this gorgeous trench from Urban Outfitters shown below, which is cheaper but I don't like the epaulettes on the shoulders. Also for that price I may as well just go to Cos! I think I'm going to hold off for a while and treat myself in December - I can't see much that I like online but I'd like to pop into Zara, Warehouse and & Other Stories for a browse too! What sort of coat or jacket will you be wearing this winter?

Red Dress

Dress - £20 Topshop

Heels - Zara

Hey guys! I hope your all having a good day.  I'm certainly in a great mood as I'm off work for one week!!  I don't have anything planned at all, but it's nice just to be able to chill sometimes.

I successfully tried bantu knots again, If you remember I tried them in this post here, it didn't work then.  This time round I tried it on dry hair as opposed to wet and voila!  What do you guys think? My hair is naturally curly already after growing it out of relaxer a few years back, but I'm still getting use to my own curls and I also like to play around with different types of curls.

I threw on this flirty red dress today, as the weather was ok.  Its a new dress, so I thought if I don't wear it now I would have to wait until next summer.  I love it, it's so girly, for £20 it's probably the cheapest dress I will ever find in Topshop lol

Lemon Crop Top

Skirt - £40 Topshop
Crop Top - £6 Ebay
Sandals - £12 Primark
Bag - £7 H&M sale
Sunglasses - £1 Primark

When the sun comes out to play, I'm a happy bunny! When I went to my mums house on Saturday In this outfit she said “you look like summer!”, I think that’s the best way to describe it! If you been following me for a while you know I don’t shy away from colour,  this comes out more when it’s hot.

I love this statement crop top, it’s also really comfy and I didn't have to pull it up or down like some crop tops, it stayed in place all day.

I tried to do bantu knots in my hair and failed miserably! My hair curled at the front but not at the back, so I decided to rock it as it was.  I have recently stopped straightening my hair (for now), I'm trying to look after my hair to achieve a better curl pattern, right now I have nice tight curls at the back and front of my hair, but wavy in the middle and can only achieve first day curls. I have also changed all my hair products to natural brands.  If any of my natural girls have any tips please let me know!

Hey guys, I hope your having a good start to the weekend so far.  I have spent the day looking for venues for my engagement party.  Now I'm watching the Brazil and Chile game, which is so tense at the moment.  Is anyone else following the world cup? I must admit I'm not into football, but I love the world cup.

I wore this top to work yesterday and my boss said I looked like sunshine :-) Mustard is such a vibrant colour.  I bought this top and two other items in the Zara sale.  I work right next to a Zara and trust me the fight not to go in there everyday is real lol

I bought these shorts last year but have never wore them, it has a matching top which I wore here on the blog last year, but I'm yet to wear it as a set.

Virgos Lounge Peplum Top

Top - £17 Virgos Lounge sale
Jeans - £40 Topshop
Shoes - £25 Chicnova
Bag - £12.50 Tesco

You know I was raving about Virgos Lounge just before my Birthday and wore this beautiful dress from there in this post here .  Well of course I couldn't just buy one item, so I browsed through their sale (they are quite pricey!) and found this lovely peplum top.  The detail is everything! its peplum, zig zag, beaded and leather!  and I haven't seen anyone else wearing it,so I had to get it.

I wanted to continue with the splash of white theme so I wore my comfy white wedges and can you believe this bag is only £12.50 and from Tesco supermarket out of all places!!! I was doing my usual food shop and passed the clothes section which I never look at, it was the only one left and was just staring at me.. Love at first sight haha

I cant believe we have reverted back to winter weather at the end of May! I'm feeling so uninspired with my outfits because I mentally prepared myself for summer clothes.  I have literally been living in Jeans, Jumpers and blazers. Either way I'm trying to brighten things up, and this blazer never fails to do the job, its so bright!

Have a great day, I'm getting ready for work, don't forget to enter my competition here.

Hey Guys, I'm back!! I'm so excited to get back to blogging.  I have already been married a little over a month.  The wedding was everything I hoped for and more, it was truly the happiest day of my life.  After the wedding we left for our three week honeymoon in Thailand, it was amazing! I will be sharing more about Thailand  in another post.

It was 34 degrees everyday in Thailand, but it was a nice surprise to come back to sunny weather in the UK.  This is what I wore on the weekend, these Topshop jeans are amazing, they fit around your curves and the rips are perfectly placed.  I need the black version now!

Thanks for passing by and also for sticking by the blog even during my lack of blogging xx
