MEOW | NEW CAT DRESS FROM BLACKFIVE
I was recently sent this adorable dress by BlackFive! Covered in cats, (oh my gosh I want a cat so badly), this fun little number is sure to add charm to your summer wardrobe, and it's super soft and comfy too! What I will say however, is that the design is very short, so I would not reccomend it to anyone over 5'5", or maybe if you are taller you could order a size up as you'll probably gain more length then too!
SHOPPING & CUPCAKES WITH MERO RETRO
A few months ago, (wow talk about a late post), I was invited by the lovely Julia of Stylonylon to a vintage party at Mero Retro in Clapton. Also accompanied by Leigh of Fox & Feather, Jaclyn of Bumpkin Betty and Paula of The P-Ho Diaries, we were all treated to a delightful spring afternoon of personalised cupcakes, Prosecco and vintage shopping. I picked up an adorable collared blouse, (shown below), i'll be sure to get an outfit post featuring this up soon!

BACK TO WORK
Ah, so the long Easter weekend is now over and it's back to work/education for us all! I spent the last day of holiday styling a menswear photoshoot…. just a test out and about in Shoreditch with quite a cool, urban feel. I also went to the Hoxton Bar & Kitchen near Old Street station for a late lunch, we had cocktails and mexican food, yum!

PIGTAILS & BOWS
Last Sunday I spent the morning relaxing and catching up on emails before heading out in the afternoon to help with a friend's lookbook shoot. I wore one of my favourite dresses from Asos, with a collar, a cardigan, and these adorable new bow brogues from Olive and Frank. (You can get them in burgundy too!)
Oh by the way I need a little hair help - I can't decide whether or not to cut my fringe back in… (if you haven't noticed already this is an endless debate I have with myself)… what do you think? Fringe or no fringe?

SPARKLES IN SPRING
I was kindly send this delightfully sparkly dress from Lashes of London a while ago, but I've only just gotten around to photographing it. To be honest, I found it a little tricky to style. My usual look is a lot less dressy so I really struggled to pull an outfit together whilst still looking like "me". Last weekend however I had a sudden brain wave and found myself really wanting to wear it…. double sparkles! Here I've worn it with my "signature" collar poking out from underneath and a pair of glittery shoes!

A GIRLY EVENING OUT
A few weeks ago Next held an all day event to show off their latest summer collection. I met Harriet after work and we headed over to the rather lovely Soho hotel, where we were greeted with smiles, cake, sandwiches, bubbly and an exclusive, close-up look at their new range! Some of my favourite bits were the more sporty inspired pieces like below - I think Next do sporty very well actually, and I always enjoy their events!
I also had my hair done and had a larger wave put in… my hair definitely looks better either dead-straight or loosely curled, it looks awful in-between, which unfortunately is how it naturally falls! I'm finding it rather annoying now that it's longer - I never even considered that "frizz" could be a problem…. now my hair is frizzy as soon as I step out of my front door! Does anyone know of any good products to handle this?
After our time with Next, we moved on to Marc Cain's press event, which was being held in their offices down Great Portland street. I'd never actually heard of the brand before Jaclyn told me about them and their UK launch, but at the event they had the most amazing collection of coats! Their shoes were also beautiful; make sure you check out their site here.
We were treated to very extravagant cocktails, delicious canapés, and we got to try on their latest collection - I did try on an oversized, navy coat that I fell in love with! Not wanting to end the fun there however, Harriet and I then headed over to Bryon for a burger as Harriet had a free food voucher. I literally couldn't move by the end of the evening… I'd maybe had a little too much fun/food for one night! ;)

JUMPER DAY
It's an odd time of year here in the UK - with Summer just around the corner but Spring still seemingly in full swing, the weather is truly unpredictable. Some days the sun is shining and it's far too warm for a coat, but other mornings I still head to work wrapped up in a hat and scarf! I find that one way to get through this awkward time is with a good selection of jumpers, which are easy to throw over an outfit then whip on and off accordingly!
Over the years I've built up quite the collection, but I'm always on the lookout for more. Recently I've noticed an influx of online stores focusing on knitwear - Repeat Cashmere for example sell all things cashmere and have loads of snuggly jumpers to choose from! I tend to get a lot of knitwear from work with my staff allowance and I do love a good rummage in a vintage store at weekends! I found this blue number for £14 about four years ago…. bargain.

NAUTICAL FEELING
Last week I was sent this gorgeous navy, linen dress by Great Plains. I'm in dire need of dresses to wear this summer and I'm absolutely delighted with this little number! Not only is it linen, so very lightweight and cool, but I love the colour and it has a real nautical feel about it. I don't really do the nautical thing, (it reminds me of my former 14-year-old pierced faced, anchor smothered self), but i do like how subtle this is. It's subtle, but I can still picture myself wearing it on a boat, lounging about in the sunshine.... bring on summer I say!

SPRING SHADES
I was recently contacted by shadestation.co.uk and asked to review a pair of shades from their extensive sunglasses range. With spring hot at our heels I jumped at the opportunity, although it's difficult to wear sunglasses a lot of the time due to my prescription specs, I do plan to wear contact lenses more often this summer so that I can accessorise with shades - oh and shield my eyes from the sun of course.
I chose a pair of Matt Blue Ray Ban sunglasses - I've always loved the Ray ban style, (who doesn't?), and the matt effect makes them that little bit different.... also blue is my favourite colour! Here I'm wearing them with my favourite beanie hat, which I basically wear every day, a tee from Dahlia and high waisted shorts. I've really been enjoying my grey tights recently.... I get so bored of wearing black tights all of the time so it's nice to have an alternative.
