NEW WORK | BLEAK SKIES FOR ZEUM MAGAZINE

It's been a while since I've written anything on here... sorry! It's been a busy few weeks with my new job and I've just wanted to spend my evenings wrapped up warm watching films and eating. I'm sure you've already seen but I recently had some styling work published on Zeum - it was crazy cold on the day, and we were working out of a car so it was pretty hectic! But I think the final images are rather beautiful, so it's all good. Let me know what you think!

Weekend Inspiration ~ CHANEL Spring/Summer Ready-to-Wear Fashion Show

I have decided to post a fashion show here on Laura's Style every weekend to inspire you. It may or may not be a current fashion show, but I feel that watching any fashion show can inspire you to totally think out of the box. As you watch, free your mind. Oh, and please look at the models themselves. They work really hard and make everything they do look effortless. But please don't obsess over the models. Pay most of your attention to the fabrics, the colors and the tailoring. In this particular show I think my favorite pieces are the wide leg cropped pants. They look super cool and comfortable and they would flatter my particular body type which is a little bit curvy through the butt, hips and thighs. I am also loving the A-line shift dresses for the same reason.
This weekend I have posted the Spring-Summer 2015 Ready-to-Wear Chanel show to inspire you.
Please enjoy the show!

"What will you buy?" Friday

I have been admiring the giant scarves that some of my favorite fashion bloggers have been wearing this fall and winter. Today I finally decided to buy one for myself. I figure since I live in Maine I still have plenty of time to enjoy wearing one of these oversized beauties. At least that's what Mr. Groundhog is saying.

The one the model is wearing in the above photo is the one I chose to purchase on this "What will you buy?" Friday. You can find yours by clicking HERE.

Stay tuned. I will be showing you my oversized scarf look right here on my blog as soon as I receive it.

Below are even more of my favorite oversized scarves of the season.
Stay warm!

Have A Heart

Here I am again talking about hearts. I have said it before and I will say it again. Hearts are not just for Valentines Day. But conveniently you will find hearts where ever you go during the month of February. You've gotta love that! (No pun intended ;)

Here I am sporting my favorite Heart Fair Isle Sweater from TALBOTS.

I don't believe that Valentines Day is for couples only. I believe that Valentines Day is simply a day to remind us of the love that surrounds each and every one of us every single day.

I Can't Stop Thinking About SPRING!

Despite the fact that the snow just keeps on piling up higher and higher here in Maine, I still can't stop thinking about spring! Oh, and in case you didn't already know, Mr. Groundhog has already determined that we will get six more weeks of winter. I'm not even a groundhog and I could have told you that! It really comforts me to know that brands like TALBOTS begin showing signs of spring in their stores by the end of January. They totally understand how tired I am of winter! Yet these new items I am speaking of will still keep me warm. The fabrics are very wear now, but the colors sing to me like a robin.
