A rare bird.

I am proud to announce the arrival of this rare and precious bird to The Canny Canary online boutique!




This vintage "Bird of North America" brooch is part of a collection of three other birds created by artist John David Buzogany during the late 1980's. We are not sure where in the world the other birds are, but we hope to locate them one day. Please let us know if you ever run across them!

This particular bird brooch is made of 14 karat rose gold and can also be worn as a pendant. Below you will find more of the fine details:

~ 25 natural pink American freshwater pearls from the Mississippi River (wings)
~ American Yogo Sapphire from the Yogo Gulch in Montana (eye) .25 ct. total weight
~ pink pavé sapphires 1.50 ct. total weight
~ pavé diamonds .13 ct. total weight
~ Measures 2 inches wide and 2 ¼ inches tall
~ Valued at $4,500.00
~ Comes with appraisal paperwork
